‘Mindfulness for Stress Relief’ class:

Our Mindfulness for Stress Relief program is an 8-week intensive training in various mindfulness practices, designed to empower participants to take an active role in the management of their health and wellness. It merges mindful awareness training and gentle yoga exercises and consists of eight weekly 3-hour sessions, plus one all-day session.

The ‘Mindfulness for Stress Relief’ class is jointly provided by ‘The Alaska Nurses Association’ and ‘AK Center for Mindfulness. A total of 34 CE contact hours are available for nurses if all classes are completed. Contact hours are available for each class individually. 

 

All-day ‘Mindfulness for Stress Relief’ refresher class (previous class graduates only):

Students who have previously completed one of our ‘Mindfulness for Stress Relief’ or MBSR programs are welcome to participate in this all-day refresher class.

‘Cultivating Presence – a Journey into Mindfulness’:

Alaska Center for Mindfulness presents ‘Cultivating Presence – a Journey into Mindfulness’. This 4-week course is intended to foster community, education, and practice as we navigate the present conditions of our lives. This course is appropriate for all levels.

Weekly meetings include lessons in mindfulness, guided practice, and synchronous discussion.

‘Mindfulness Tools’ class (Private class only):

Our ‘Mindfulness Tools’ program is a condensed version of our full 34-hour ‘Mindfulness for Stress Relief’ class. The program consists of four 2-hour classes that are being taught in one-on-one sessions at a student’s home. It offers a variety of mindful awareness trainings combined with gentle yoga exercises

The ‘Mindfulness Tools’ program is currently only offered as a private one-on-one class. Additional students can be added at a discounted rate (25% off per additional student). Please note, we only offer private classes within Anchorage city limits (not including Eagle River and Girdwood).

‘Mindfulness in Uncertain Times’ (online class):

Alaska Center for Mindfulness presents ‘Mindfulness in Uncertain Times’. This course is intended to foster community, education, and practice as we navigate the present conditions of our lives. This course is appropriate for all levels.

Weekly online meetings include lessons in mindfulness, guided practice, and synchronous discussion. Between meetings, students have access to supporting materials and asynchronous discussion with instructor and classmates.

Space is limited to 15 participants.
